May 12,  · i just found a near mint sleeve for this wlp from , for whatever reason the magic bus sleeve is very prone to ring wear and other aging matters, i got the stereophonic wlp, record and it is in vg++ condition with a mint sleeve, cant complain about that, also has the original decca inner sleeve/5().

At three discs and 57 tracks, this Magic Bus compilation from Universal offers a pretty solid cross section of songs from the Summer of Love and beyond. The late '60s were a cathartic time for popular music as established acts let down their hair (both figuratively and literally) and colorful new upstarts emerged out of the counterculture.7/

"Magic Bus" (a remixed stereo version, as broadcast on the West German TV program "Beat Club," 12 October ) sounds just like the record, but it's great to hear that song under any circumstances. The album then jumps forward a few years, to "Long Live Rock" (Olympic Studios, London, 5 June )/5().

(The original single length version did appear in true stereo only on the US "Magic Bus" LP.) The song appeared in the band's film The Kids Are Alright taken from the single performance. It was subsequently released on The Kids Are Alright film soundtrack. That version is the mono single version, but slowed down, resulting in the song being a semi-tone lower in pitch and .

Jul 23,  · The Decca USA release of the LP "Magic Bus" contains the best sounding true stereo version of the title track, "Magic Bus". Subsequent CD reissues of the same used inferior tapes, causing the backing vocals on the song to become "shrill" sounding. This album is also noteworthy for having the 2nd mix version of "Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde".
